Amana-Goodman CBK2PD240VC060S Circuit Breaker
The Amana-Goodman CBK2PD240VC060S is a high-performance 60 Amp 2-pole circuit breaker engineered for heavy-duty HVAC applications. This 120/240V HVAC circuit breaker serves as a direct OEM replacement part, specifically designed to protect blower motors and heat kits in air handler units. As the direct successor to the legacy CBK2PD240VA060S model, this updated component offers improved thermal stability and reliable overcurrent protection. For contractors performing Amana Goodman HVAC repairs, this breaker ensures compatibility with internal bus bar configurations, maintaining the electrical integrity of the system. Its double-pole 60A configuration is critical for handling the high inrush currents typical of electric heat strips and high-tonnage compressors. By utilizing this genuine OEM HVAC breaker replacement, technicians can ensure code compliance and prevent nuisance tripping in demanding residential or light commercial environments.
Key Technical Benefits:
- Universal Compatibility: Engineered for seamless integration within specific Amana and Goodman air handler chassis.
- High Amperage Rating: Rated for 60 Amps to support high-draw electrical heating elements and fan motors.
- Direct Update: Optimized design replaces the older CBK2PD240VA060S with identical mounting footprints.
- Voltage Versatility: Dual-pole design supports standard 120/240V electrical circuits.
- Robust Construction: Built to withstand the high temperatures and vibration levels found in HVAC cabinets.
Common Technical Questions:
Is the CBK2PD240VC060S compatible with older Goodman air handlers?
Yes, this model replaces the previous CBK2PD240VA060S version and is designed to fit the standard manufacturer bus bar and mounting brackets found in compatible air handler units.
Can I use this breaker for a 50A application?
You must always follow the manufacturer's data plate and local electrical codes. If the unit specifies a maximum overcurrent protection (MOCP) of 60A, this is the correct component; never oversize a breaker beyond the unit's rating.
What is the difference between this and the VA060S suffix?
The "VC" suffix denotes the latest manufacturing revision. It maintains the same electrical specifications and physical dimensions as the older "VA" suffix models for a 1:1 replacement.

Ask a Question-
DEAR SIR, I HAVE A GOODMAN ARUF036-00A-1 MOBILE HOME FURNACE IT TAKES TWO 2 POLE 60 AMP BREAKERS THAT MOUNTON THE FRONT OF THE AIR HANDLER. THE TOP HAS 2 LUGS FOR POWER WIRES AND THE BOTTOM HAS 4 SPADE CONNECTORS ON EACH SIDE FOR A TOTAL OF 8 SPADE CONNECTORS. IS THIS THE RIGHT BREAKER? IF NOT WHAT IS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME BUZZ AT FELONY RIDEZ LLC
We will check and get back to you tomorrow.
Our vendor said that may probably work because they donu2019t list a circuit breaker on the breakdown of that unit. So we are not really sure about that.
