Bard 8603-006 Valve
When you're spec'ing out components for a geothermal HVAC system, the Bard 8603-006 valve is a critical piece of hardware. This is a 1-inch N/O 24V valve, meaning it's a normally open solenoid valve designed to maintain fluid flow when de-energized, providing a crucial fail-safe operation in your geothermal loop. It's engineered specifically for geothermal applications, effectively managing the flow of water, steam, air, and gases within heating and cooling circuits. Its robust construction features a 24 VDC solenoid coil with snap action closure, a durable CPVC bonnet, and an aluminum bronze poppet valve for superior corrosion resistance. The full port design ensures maximum flow capacity, complemented by a stainless steel seat for longevity and ease of maintenance. This valve integrates seamlessly into standard 24-volt HVAC control systems, offering reliable performance in demanding environments.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
I have tho open system's that need 1" 24 volt valves. The problem is I need the valves to close slowly as not to have the pipes to rattle when closing. My systems are in my attic so noise is important. I am running about 16 gpm through it at 25-60 psi. Is this the valve I need?
It's probably best to talk to a contractor who has experience installing these valves so they know which one is the quietest one then we can help you ordering the one you need. We don't have any data regarding the noise they make when they close. Thank you.
