Schneider Electric (Erie) VT3213 Valve Body
The Schneider Electric (Erie) VT3213 Valve Body is a professional-grade solution for high-demand hydronic zone control. This 1/2-inch sweat connection 3-way valve features a 4.0 Cv flow coefficient, engineered to handle both chilled and hot water systems with glycol concentrations up to 50%. As part of the Erie PopTop series, this two-position valve body is designed for seamless integration with AG or AH series spring return actuators. The forged brass construction and 400 psi static pressure rating ensure long-term reliability in fan coil, baseboard, and air handler applications. This replacement zone valve body supports a mixing or diverting configuration, allowing technicians to maintain precise fluid dynamics within the system. The paddle-style design minimizes pressure drop while providing a quick-opening flow characteristic, making it the preferred HVAC zone valve part for contractors requiring a robust 3-way mixing valve that can be serviced without breaking plumbing connections.
Key Benefits- High Flow Efficiency: The 4.0 Cv rating ensures optimal fluid delivery with minimal restrictive pressure drop in 1/2-inch lines.
- PopTop Compatibility: Designed for an actuator that can be removed or replaced without tools, significantly reducing labor time during maintenance.
- Industrial Durability: Rated for 400 psi static pressure and 200°F media temperature, exceeding the requirements of standard residential and commercial systems.
- Flexible Application: Operates as a 3-way mixing or diverting valve, providing versatility for various mechanical room layouts.
- Secure Installation: The sweat (solder) connection provides a leak-resistant, permanent bond for high-vibration environments.
Is the actuator included with the VT3213?
No, the VT3213 is the valve body only. It must be paired with an AG or AH series Erie PopTop actuator to function as a complete motorized zone valve.
Can this valve be used in steam applications?
The VT3213 is primarily designed for hot and chilled water. For 15 psi steam service, technicians should utilize the VS series valve bodies specifically rated for steam environments.
How do I handle a normally open setup with this 3-way valve?
While the 3-way configuration is typically paired with normally closed actuators, a normally open setup can often be achieved by reversing the piping configuration between the supply and bypass ports.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hi may I ask what is the best way to brass this valve to a copper pipe. can I put some thinning flux paste on the pipe and free lead soldering and heat to join your valve to the pipe. right now we have a big construction project and want to get your suggestion. thanks tony 386 64 5236
Normally contractors use brazing tools with at least 5% silver rods for brass / copper or copper / copper connections. Please consult with a contractor for further advice. Thank you.
