The ZoneFirst ZDS-30X10 is a heavy-duty rectangular zone damper designed for professional HVAC airflow management. Built with a sturdy extruded aluminum frame and parallel blades, this side-mount damper is engineered for insertion into the 10-inch side of a 30" x 10" duct. It features a high-torque 24VAC synchronous motor (Model MSS) that operates in a power closed/spring return open configuration, ensuring a fail-safe open position during power loss to maintain critical airflow. The parallel blade design, equipped with self-lubricating bushings, provides quiet, low-friction operation even at static pressures up to 1.0" W.C. Contractors can easily perform field conversion to power open/spring return closed if system requirements change. The motor assembly includes a minimum position adjustment screw, allowing a controlled bypass of air to reduce the need for separate bypass dampers and help balance static pressure across the zoning system.

• Is this compatible with older control panels? Yes, this 2-wire damper is compatible with most 24V zone control panels. When replacing older 3-wire or 5-wire models, check your panel’s wiring terminal requirements.
