  • $104.88

The Williams P322398 Pilot Assembly is a genuine OEM PowerPile generator component engineered specifically for natural gas gravity direct-vent wall furnaces. Designed as the direct factory replacement for the discontinued P323415, this assembly is essential for millivolt-controlled systems that operate independently of external electrical power. It features a high-output 750-millivolt thermopile that converts thermal energy from the pilot flame into the electrical current required to hold the main gas valve open. This unit is configured with a 90-degree left orientation for precise alignment within the combustion chamber and is compatible with 22,000 and 30,000 BTU models, including series 1403822, 2203822, and 3003822. By ensuring a consistent ignition source and accurate flame sensing, the P322398 resolves common field issues such as pilot flame drop-out and main burner ignition failure, maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the heating system.

Key Benefits
  • Direct OEM Replacement: Replaces part number P323415 with exact factory specifications for a seamless fit.
  • Millivolt Compatibility: Integrated thermopile provides reliable voltage for standing pilot systems.
  • Precision Geometry: 90-degree left configuration ensures optimal flame-to-generator contact.
  • System Versatility: Engineered for use with Williams Gravity Direct Vent Wall Furnaces (22k and 30k BTU).
  • Safe Operation: Maintains consistent heat output by ensuring stable burner ignition.
Common Questions

Will this work with a propane (LP) unit?
No, the P322398 is calibrated specifically for natural gas systems. Using it with propane may cause improper combustion or system failure.

Does this assembly include the replacement gasket?
The P142700 gasket is required for a complete seal but is typically sold separately. It is recommended to replace the gasket during the installation of a new pilot assembly.

What symptom does this part solve?
If your pilot stays lit but the main burner fails to ignite when the thermostat calls for heat, the thermopile in this assembly may no longer be generating the required 750mV signal.

  • I have a Williams furnace Mod. 1403822, SN29146380D, converted from NG to propane with kit #8939. Want to replace thermopile. I'd just like to replace the thermopile without having to do the entire assembly if possible. If not, I received info from the store where I purchased it and they recommended Williams pilot assembly P323700, however my Manual recommends P322398. I'd just like to get the right part and it looks like both are available. Please advise. I'd also like to get the P142700 gasket and a couple of P100100 observation door gaskets (or replacements).
