Can R-410A be used to retrofit an existing R-22 system?
No. R-410A refrigerant operates at significantly higher pressures (approximately 50% to 70% higher) and requires specific POE oil. Charging R-410A into an R-22 system will lead to catastrophic component failure.

Is an EPA 608 certification required for purchase?
Yes. To purchase wholesale R-410A refrigerant, you must provide a valid EPA 608 License or a Resale Statement in accordance with federal law. This product is restricted to the Lower 48 states.

What is the proper charging method for this HFC blend?
Because R-410A is a blend, it should always be removed from the cylinder in the liquid phase to prevent fractionation and ensure the correct 50/50 chemical composition enters the system.

    It depends on the line size and how long the lines will run. This needs to be determined in the field while checking the pressure.

    Unfortunately we don't have any location near you. Refrigerant will be shipped from our CA location.

    That is not a problem according to the current EPA rules.

    No, unfortunately due to shipping regulations this item can only be shipped by Refrigerant Shipping which goes by ground only. Transit time will be based on distance so you may still get it next day if you are really closed.

    Normally oil needs to be checked and added in the field separately.

    R410A requires 608 instead of 609 to purchase. However you can still purchase it legally if you will transfer or resell it to a certified person, just check the appropriate box when ordering from our website.

    Not sure since we carry different brands but all of them has to be charged upside down for liquid refrigerant.

    Mobile AC license is only good for R134A and R12. We would need to take a look at the license to be sure.
